CRANLEIGH HIGH STREET (B2128) - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2018
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cranleigh High Street (B2128), that extends from its junction with East View Lane to the north-eastern property boundary of “Cranleigh Baptist Church”. This Traffic Order is required to enable maintenance and/or highway surfacing works on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00, as soon as possible within two nights of the eighteen month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 November 2018. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists, equestrians and emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the vehicular diversion for general traffic, HGVs and buses which will be Cranleigh High Street, Horsham Road, Church Street, Guildford Road, Bucks Green, Guildford Road, Horsham Road, Guildford Road, Horsham Road, Elmbridge Road and The Common, Cranleigh.
