Regulation 15

Following the Council’s approval of the Draft Regulation 15 Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents at its meeting on 05 September 2019, the Regulation 15 Plan was formally submitted, alongside the Basic Conditions Statement and the Consultation Statement to Waverley Borough Council on 10 September 2019.

Update

The Parish Council was notified by Surrey County Council in November 2020 that they have withdrawn the planning application for the new primary school at the Glebelands School site and will retain both the St Nicolas Junior School and Cranleigh Infant School sites in line with their current uses. WBC has notified the independent examiner who advised that the Council may be able to go back to the regulation 14 stage and review sites already submitted to address the shortfall in housing numbers.

On 21 January 2021, the Parish Council agreed to withdraw the Neighbourhood Plan from the independent examination.

The Council looked at previously assessed sites and focussed on those that were on brownfield sites or had minor constraints. Some new brownfield sites also came forward since the 2020 call for sites.

The Council has agreed the site allocations, made some minor amendments to the Neighbourhood Plan following comments by the independent examiner and will issue the Cranleigh Neighbourhood Plan for Regulation 14 consultation on Friday 27 August 2021 until 5.00pm on Friday 15 October 2021.
